Tyrannosaurus rex, or the ‘Tyrant Lizard King’, roamed the North American landscape of forests, open plains, and rivers during the Late Cretaceous period, 68 to 66 million years ago. Combining the fields of biology and palaeontology, discover how these massive beasts lived and how this one died. Our guides will present details of dinosaur anatomy, providing a unique and educational adventure for the whole family.

Continue the exploration and visit the world's first anatomically correct model of a T.rex, a dissected 11-metre long replica, in the Australian Museum's Dinosaur Gallery on Level 2.
